How to Make Starbucks Apple Cake

A wonderful winter treat, thanks to the dried apples. If you like, double this recipe and save one for later while eating the other fresh from the oven. The frozen cake is an option.

2 cups of apple flakes
1/8 cup lemon juice
1 stick or 1/2 cup of butter or margarine
Sugar, 1/4 cup
2 eggs
12 ounces of all-purpose flour
Baking powder, two tablespoons
Salt, 1/2 teaspoon
1/2 cup milk
Vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon

1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons of cinnamon powder

One 9-inch square cake (nine 312-ounce servings) will be produced.

  1. Place the apples, lemon juice, and just enough boiling water to cover in a nonreactive pot. Cook until everything is fully reconstituted. Drain.
  2. Blend sugar and butter. One at a time, beat thoroughly after each addition of the eggs.
  3. Sieve the dry components. The dry ingredients and milk should be added to the butter mixture in turns.
  4. Beat in the vanilla, then add.
  5. Grease and flour a glass casserole or 9-inch square pan.
  6. Spoon the batter onto the pan, then add the dried apple slices on top.
  7. Combine the sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle it over the top.
  8. Bake for 30-45 minutes @ 325°F.
