How to Pray for Physical Healing

Your body was designed to heal, yet the environment around you is destroying it. These stages to healing prayer are very effective because they place a strong emphasis on accepting and surrendering to God’s protection, love, and will for your life.

Learn how to pray, how to heal, and how to climb upwards in freedom and pleasure by watching this video. Learning to pray is a therapeutic experience in and of itself – even if your request for healing is not answered in the manner you anticipate.

For those who are experiencing infertility or pregnancy troubles and need a healing prayer, see How to Pray for a Baby. Consider taking a few minutes to go through the comments section and feeling the prayers of ladies who are hoping for healing and the blessing of a family. I’ll share what I’ve been learning about how to pray for healing from an affliction, illness, or addiction in the sections below.

What is your healing prayer, and who or what are you asking for in your prayer? Please feel free to contribute any written prayers you have in the comments area of this post. It is likely that the more you pray, the more comfortable you will get with the notion of praying for healing on your own.

Our family has suffered with infertility, and I have ulcerative colitis as a result of this. We prayed for recovery from infertility caused by azoospermia, which is a genetic disorder. Although God did not reward us with a child, I do not believe that He did not hear and answer our plea for healing.

God has a way of healing us in ways that we don’t anticipate. When we pray for physical things, we may find ourselves cured of emotional troubles as a result of our prayers. God heals in miraculous ways…but we must be willing to accept and submit to His healing in order for it to take place. Not knowing how to pray isn’t nearly as crucial as being willing to listen to God’s plan for our lives and situations.

Following are some of the things I’ve learnt about praying for healing….

A Healing Prayer with a Lot of Power

Every morning, I open my notebook and write a prayer to God. Here’s what I wrote the day before:

“Father God, You are a God of compassion, kindness, patience, love, and power! Thank you for everything!” My awe is inspired by your tremendous tolerance and gentleness. You wait and wait for me to come back to You, you give and give…and You never run out of love for me, because You never stop loving me.

Thank you, Jesus, for being a never-ending river of love and freedom, as well as a secure haven. You don’t protect me from the sorrow of the world or the consequences of my own mistakes… You’re the one who gets me through it. I am aware of my own sorrow, yet I am not alone. I feel bolstered, invigorated, and lifted up by Your presence. Jesus, thank You very much for everything. I adore You and will never let You go! Amen.”

Share your astonishment and awe at His grandeur, love, and strength with others.
Before you begin your healing prayer, take a few seconds to consider who God is and what he has done for you.

Rather than teaching you how to pray, this is about realizing and appreciating just how great and awesome He really is! We are so insignificant and defenseless, so frail and helpless. We wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for Him.

Our initial prayer should not be one of request for healing, but rather one of astonishment and humility in the face of His incredible power, love, and grace.

What is it about God that fascinates you? But it’s not simply that He created the mountains, seas, and solar system that has me in awe.

It seems like everything in the universe is full with wonder and mystery. Did you know that bumblebees are infested with ticks? I can’t even image how little a bumblebee tick must be in comparison to its host.

Starting with a simple appreciation of how wonderful and good God is will set the tone for your healing prayer. Recognize your place in the presence of the Lord of the land. Instead of focusing on “how to pray,” just let your heart and soul to kneel before him and you will be blessed.

Give thanks to God for everything that He has done for you by praying for him.

If you’ve prayed for health, strength, or faith in the past, how has God responded to your requests? His blessings have come to you in a number of different forms. Consider how much He has done for you and express your gratitude to Him for all He has provided.

Most importantly, express gratitude to Him for acknowledging your prayers and responding. In addition to his affection for you, he is well acquainted with your personality. In response to your requests, he listens to you and attempts to ensure that everything works for your benefit.

The Lord is fully aware of everything that is taking on in your life, and He will guide you through it all. He will be with you every step of the journey, and He will never leave you. Starting with a thankful and humble heart, this is how you pray, according to the scriptures.

Your religion is cold and brittle, isn’t it. Take a look at these three prayers to soften and heal hard hearts.

Before praying for healing, submit to God’s guidance.

Earlier this week, the daughter of a friend’s friend, who was eight, passed away. Over the course of 18 months, they battled leukemia with lethal chemotherapy concoctions and bone marrow transplants. A horrific struggle, fraught with anguish and grief, as well as many nights of mental and physical suffering, had transpired. This situation is so horrible and devastating that there are no words to describe it.

Despite our best efforts, she died despite our prayers. The fact that she didn’t die was due to our lack of understanding on how to pray. There was no fault on our part, nor did we fail to spend enough time in prayer for her recovery. No one knows why she died, and we have no way of knowing.

You must yield to God’s ultimate wisdom and will before you may pray for healing. In our lives, God isn’t in it to answer our prayers; He’s in it to guide us back to our rightful places. Recognize His presence and affection, and give yourself up to them.

Always remember that He loves you passionately and unconditionally, no matter how your prayers for healing are answered.

Make your healing prayer a continuous process by repeating it regularly.

Oswald Chambers argues in his book My Utmost for His Highest that “the proper understanding of prayer is to conceive of it as the air we take in and the blood that flows out of our veins.” Despite the fact that we are not aware of it, our blood is flowing and our breathing is continuing ‘without pausing.'”

And since prayer is not a workout, there is no one formula for “how to pray,” he explains further. The saint’s life is characterized by prayer. For the rest of our lives, Chambers encourages us to keep the childish practice of giving up prayers to God in our hearts at all times.

Allow yourself to express all of your worries and concerns as well as your rage and deepest longings in this journal.

As a result of your anxiety, fear, and even rage about your disease or condition, you’re looking for healing prayers. Possibly, it is the most terrible thing that has ever occurred to you. Alternatively, maybe something much worse has occurred in your past, and you fear the prospect of having to go through it all over and over again.

Praying for Healing: A Guide

I’m curious how it would feel to be completely liberated. Sharing your deepest fears, concerns, and uncertainties with God is an important part of learning how to pray for healing. Set aside some time to jot down your thoughts and fears. Continue to avoid thinking about it since it will just get darker and scarier, as well as heavier to carry about with you. As an alternative, take out your diary or a piece of paper and jot down everything you are afraid of.

It is OK to add anything is on your mind — even a healing prayer.

A powerful prayer, since it will assist you in processing your emotions, which will aid in your healing process.

Take a deep breath and release whatever expectations you may have about the outcome.
Including the potential that you may not get what you want in a Godly and powerful prayer for healing is essential to its effectiveness.

The likelihood that you don’t know what you truly want increases even more since you may not be aware of your own needs. You may believe it is best for a kid to live, yet it is possible that the child’s life would have been filled with years of anguish and suffering if they were allowed to live. Although you may believe that recovery is the most desired result, it is possible that the alternatives include benefits.

You should let go of your expectations while praying for healing. Prayerfully ask for the manifestation of what you wish to see in your life… Allow His will to be carried out, albeit it may be difficult. Remember the night Jesus was betrayed? Do you remember how He felt at that point? A trip to the cross was not something he desired.

A lot of blood is dripping from his pores. In addition to feeling scared, he was also feeling alone. In spite of everything, he surrendered to God because he understood that the Father was the greatest judge.

Following That, What to Do

You should keep in mind that prayer is a constant practice, not something that can be done once and done. After some time has passed, your prayer for healing may have changed. What a wonderful discovery! It’s possible that you’re in contact with His Spirit and will if you’re experiencing this phenomenon. Make room for God’s quiet little voice to guide you over any obstacles that stand in the way of living the life He has intended for you.

Obtain a copy of Bill Johnson and Randy Clark’s The Essential Guide to Healing: Equipping All Christians to Pray for the Sick. In order to enable all Christians to offer healing, they formed a collaborative effort. In addition to sharing uplifting and exhilarating experiences that are anchored in Scripture, they provide practical, tried and true step-by step instruction on how to minister healing effectively.

Recognize your position of leadership in the healing ministry

Bring the ministry of healing to everyone you encounter, as well as in your own life.
Words of wisdom are received and passed on.
Implement and put into practice the five-step paradigm of healing prayer for yourself and others.

It is not just for pastors and priests to recite the “proper” prayers for healing. The ability to become effective conduits for God’s healing power is within the reach of every Christian!

Let us know what you are thinking and praying about. I’d want to know what your healing prayer is. When you pray, think about who you’re praying for and what you’d want to see healed or altered in their lives.

Think about what it would be like to let go of your desire to see that item through to completion. Even though I cannot provide guidance, I do read and respond to each and every remark received. It would be wonderful if you could react to other readers’ comments if you feel moved to do so, and to share your own experience of learning how to pray with others.
